Sock Department
As you probably
guessed, selling socks is how our business began. When we opened 70 years
ago all our socks came from the mill directly across the street. The world
has changed a lot since then. It is getting harder and harder to
profitably manufacture socks in America. We still try to buy from United
States mills as much as possible, but we have had to look overseas for
those products no longer made in the US.
Irregulars were all we used to carry because we could sell them very
cheaply. We still carry a large selection of irregulars from mills that we
know and trust. We sell irregulars for men, women and children beginning
as low as 33 cents a pair.
We also now carry a full selection of first quality socks at prices below
our competitors. Best sellers include trouser socks, sport socks, ladies
fashion anklets, toe socks, men's dress socks and children's anklets. We
constantly shop other stores in an attempt to make sure we are always
cheaper.
